  • Ok, can you seriously just join Facebook and friend me please?

When I took up facebook at Christmas i wondered if i'd ever keep it up given I work, have 5 kids, blog, and was marathon training. I ended up effectively ditching xanga.  It's just that this is so one-sided... i write.  I guess there are still people out there reading this.  In fact, I know there are because some people I never would have imagined have said, "what's up with your blog?" so I guess you've been reading.  But, on facebook... people INTERACT.  and, well, I am an extravert so I need INTERACTION.  I do not want to wonder if a blog page is written and no one is there to see it, did it really exist? I want to know you hear me.

So, you should check out facebook.  no, the whole world doesn't see your stuff.  You have to invite friends and they have to accept. even my mother-in-law is addicted!  it's very easy.  so check it out!  you'll get way quicker updates on us.  not convinced?  well, leave me a message here and i'll be back in a few weeks to respond! :D

  • I've Returned to Xanga

ok, i admit it... turns out my breaking point is somewhere between working, taking care of 5 kids, training for a marathon, keeping up my new Facebook addiction and xanga.  so Xanga has suffered.

    so a quick update--

    Kids are all fine.

John is working at Lear now.

I injured myself and am returning to running tomorrow (for a tiny, very short run) after two weeks.  More on that at http://pages.teamintraining.org/mi/vancouvr09/sfiaschetti

I am consumed with thought right now over a little girl named Abby who is from Hannah's Hope, slightly older than Lily, and fighting for her life right this minute-- www.riggsfamilyblog.com  Won't you have a look at their story and pray and fast for them?  maybe make a donation to my Leukemia and Lymphoma Society fundraising in her honor...

  • Happy Birthday, Lily!

Yesterday Liliana was THREE!  I can't believe how the time has flown in the 2.5 years she's been here.  I was almost overwhelmed last night thinking about how grateful I am that her brave birthmom chose to stay in college and take the hard road of delivering a healthy baby over the "easy" road of abortion.

Here are a couple pics of the happy, cupcake filled day:

Please ignore my flat hair and lack of makeup.  I had to squeeze in an afternoon run during her nap and was freshly back from it.  Lily didn't seem to notice.  actually, she noticed nothing but cupcakes and a dollhouse from Grandma.

    cupcake satisfaction

Is this the look of satisfaction or what??

I love how grownup she looks in her new headband, but check out how ungrownup Nonno looks calling Dora on the new pink cell phone.

  • Tired After a Brutal Run

I'm ready to get back to work. All this lack of structure and laying around makes me want to lay around more. All those plans for doing this and doing that and taking the tree down... many did not get accomplished.  where did the time go?  I'm sufficiently sick of screentime (for myself and the kids and John) so I'll make it short here.

Check my TNT site to read about how I eeked out 8 miles today.  Hint: It was NOT another personal record day.
